Oscar Who?

FIRST, I would like to apologize for the hiatus in post updates...I'm sure you've all been dying for a new post. My immune system decided to suck for a while, but I'm becoming well enough to satisfy all of your blog needs!

SECOND, I haven't written on here in days, so brace yourself...this post is going to be lengthy.

THIRD, since you all enjoyed the celeb fashion critiques SO MUCH, I would like to make up for my brief hiatus with a SPECIAL.....

OSCARS RED CARPET FASHIONS POST!!!!!!!
Get excited...because HERE WE GO!!!!! (You can click on the pictures to make them bigger!)

Let's start off with the MEN of the Red Carpet.

(Counter Clockwise, then to the middle)
Ahh, George Clooney. The definition of "Silver Fox". Everyone was raving about his long hair...but I'm not diggin' it. I like the rugged, scruffy, short haired look for him. But regardless, he was still working it.
Next, we have the youngins--Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron. I don't even know what to say, because these two always look good. I'm glad that Zac is going a little out of the box with the skinny black tie, versus the bow tie. HOTTIES, that's all.
WOOOOOO, Gerard Butler is becoming the new George Clooney. He is HOT. He's looking quite dapper in his tux, while still having the ruggedness with the beard. Work it G-But.
Last but not least, the award for "Emma's Favorite Men's Look" goes to......
ROBERT DOWNEY JUNIOR. Congrats Rob, this is an honor. I'm loving the oversized, BLUE bowtie, awesome glasses, and black and white sneaks. Thanks for stepping outside of the cookie cutter and doing your own thaaaaang!

Next, we move on to Ladies in Metallic. And the nominees are:

Miley Slutrus...Okay, I don't like her. And this dress makes me like her less. I know that the whole "corset" look is in..but I'm not a fan of it on Miles.
Demi Moore--It's okay, and I like the hair.
Elizabeth Banks--Funny gone fashionista. I'm liking the silver dress, and she is twerkin' it. Mixed with the smokey eye, she is a vision in grey tones.
Sarah Jessica Parker--Although some may not like it, I kind of LOVE it. In this post she kind of looks like Oscar herself, but I really like it. The color looks great and I love how the embellishment goes on to the back. SPOT ON.
Sandra Bullock--Just want to start this off by saying I LOVE HER. I'm so glad she won Best Actress...but today she won't be winning best in Metallic. The dress is okay, but so not Best Actress worthy. The embroidery on the top is a little old fashioned and I think she could of worked a brighter color. Maybe next year she'll feel a little bolder, now that she's got her own Oscar :)
Kathryn Bigelow--Don't love it...a little puckery and boring. For the first female Best Director, AND Best Picture, she could have done better.
AND THE WINNER IS.....CAMERON DIAZ! I love this classic shape, and there is just enough embellishment for her to show her personality. Plus I love her hair.

J-Lo versus Amanda Seyfried...

The winner IS...AMANDA. Okay, I know that everyone though Jen looked "Fabulous" and "Stunning" but I think that "She looked like a bolt of fabric was tacked to her left hip". The looks were similar, but I definitely liked Amanda's better.

Next, the classic, "Little Black Dress".

Let's start with Faith Hill...first, WHY was she there? Something to do with "The Blindside", but I wasn't catching on. Even though she didn't belong, she decided to wear terribly ugly spider web tights to match her terribly ugly spider web embellishment on her dress. I'm over it Faithy.
Next, Kristen Stewart. Okay, we're getting closer K-Stew...but if you'd stop biting your lip and start smiling and working your dress, we may be better convinced. I like the shape of the dress, it's interesting...but I wish someone else was wearing it.
But the one who takes the award for this category is...Carey Mulligan! I usually don't like the "Mullet" hem, as I like to refer to it, but on Carey and in this particular dress, it looks GREAT! The shoes, the hair, the earrings, and of course the DRESS make anyone who wore black regret their choice.

Next is the coveted...Worst Dressed Female. And here are the nominees...

Starting with Charlize Theron. Yikes, girl. It looks like someone is cupping your ladies. That is NOT a good look. I understand trying to be bold...but this is not good.
Next, we have Zoe Saldana. I appreciate the color, but this is just too much. Plus this picture doesn't show the GIANT SLIT in the front which adds to the horrendousness. Try again next year.
It was a close call, but second to worst would be Mo apostrophe Nique. Did one of your charm school girls dress you? This looks straight from K-Mart, girl. The fake flower, the un-figure flattering dress...it just doesn't add up. But congrats on the Oscar...that will make you look better, right?
But the worst dressed is...DIANE KRUGER! Congrats on looking like someone vomited up every fabric and texture in beige onto your dress! Yikes is all I have to say.

Now the best award of the blog is Best Dressed Female.

First, let's start with the classic Meryl Streep. She was going a little different with the long sleeves and classy silhouette. It's very age appropriate, but still fashion forward. She looked great!
Next, we have Vera Farmiga. Okay, it may look a little crazy, but I LOVE THIS. The volume and color is so bold, but not too busy. LOVE.
It was a very close call, but next is Queen Latifah. Holy crap, if I could wear any dress, I would want this one. The color is on, the shape is on, the embellishments, the hair...only one thing Queen...lose the Miley Cyrus peace sign. That dress is 10x classier than that.
And the Winner IS Rachel McAdams. I just love it. Everything is good about this whole look.

So, if you haven't fallen asleep on your computer yet, then thank you for reading and let me know what YOUR opinions of the looks from the Oscars were! Obviously, this is a NP^2 kind of day since it's already so long. So I'm going to stop typing now, and let you get back to your life haha.

With all your Fashion Emergencies,
Emma

Tool-e-oke

"Things don't go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be."

So, that's currently one of my favorite quotes. It's hard when something goes wrong to think about moving past it and becoming a better person, but that is definitely what you need to do to handle it. Not everything always goes right, but you can just keep trying for what you want and you never know the great things that could happen.

Okay so, sorry about the deepness-let's get back to the usual dry, funny, Trash TV blog you know and love. Tonight on the Trashy TV line-up: Frank the Entertainer-A Basement Affair, Tool Academy, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It seemed like the theme of the night was singing to prove your love, because they were singing in the basement, and also participated in "tool-e-oke" at the academy. No singing so far on the Kardashians, but who knows with those crazy broads.

So, one of my blog's BIGGEST fans (haha Lindsey) suggested to me that I should do some critiques of Celebrity fashion. So, to keep my viewers happy, I will comply with this request. I'm going to go ahead and Google a celebrity, and the first picture of them that pops up, I will judge (harshly) what they're wearing.

1. Of course, we start it all off with the one and only Zac Efron (actor):

Okay, so I'm enjoying the white shirt (I can't decide if I enjoy it because of the "simple" look or because it's half off), but I think his pants could be a little tighter, they seem to be falling down. Also, I'm not a fan of boxers, which he appears to be wearing. Come on Zac, boxer briefs are where it's at!!!

2. Next, we have fashionista/crazy-ista Lady Gaga (singer):

Amy Winehouse? Gagz, for real-put some pants on. I know that you are just trying to show your kooky attitude, but no pants? You're on the fence of kooky vs. crazy. But I do like the dark hair.

3. Taylor Swift (singer):

I think that she's been the best dressed on this list thus far. But I am getting a little bored with the "goody two shoes" look. I think that T-swizzle needs to add some edge, maybe kick the cowboy boots and add some sassy, platform heels. Keep that in mind Tay (since you are clearly reading this).

4. Fashion "icon", aka Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham (What even is her career anymore?):

Okay Posh, we know you're skinny. Could you please stop shoving it in all of our faces? Thanks. But seriously, she looks like she could blow away. Okay, so the pants fit her scrawny legs well, but the shirt is a little off. The shirt has a weird neckline and makes her shoulders look broad. And she's lookin' a little matchy-matchy with all the beige. I'm not really diggin' it.

5. Last, but definitely not least, Marc Jacobs (fashion designer):

How can you not love him? If I were a guy, I would dress exactly like him. Even though he's a fashion designer and makes really out-there clothes, he still dresses like a semi-normal person that has better than average fashion sense. I'm a huge fan of the big, clear glasses (I have a pair of my own) and paired with the vintage Mickey tee and airplane necklace, it shows his playful and creative side. Although, he does look a bit like he just rolled out of the bed, I would go shopping with him any day.

This is a No-Posty-Post Day (an NP^2, if you will) since there is already a lot posted. If you have any suggestions for another celebrity that you'd like me to critique, comment the crap outta this post, and your wish is my command.

Tough Love,
Emma

Razzi, Papa.

OKAY, SO I AM OFFICIALLY GOING TO BE FAMOUS FOR THIS IDEA THAT I CAME UP WITH TODAY. IT IS EXCITING. I'm actually semi-nervous to share...you know, since SO many people read this blog. Just don't take me super boss idea, because it is awesome. Okay, so three words.....

LADY

GAGA

MUSICAL.

How GREAT would that be? I mean, they did it with ABBA songs (Mamma Mia) and now they're doing it with Green Day songs (American Idiot), so why not do it with Modern-day Madonna herself, Lady Gaga. Seriously, I am going to start writing it. And you just wait until you see it on Broadway someday. Even if I don't do it, someone will steal my idea and make it happen. I just know it. How could there NOT be a musical using Lady Gaga's songs? I love her, and you will love her too if you watch this musical. Since it is real. Just Dance, Paparazzi, Telephone...the opportunities for a story line are endless.

Okay and also, I really want an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. So if anyone can make THAT happen, that'd be great.

Here she comes....it's the Posty-post!!!!!

The Fame Monster herself...inspiring Broadway.

And, a cheesy Gagz joke...
How do you wake up Lady Gaga? P-P-P-Poke her face.

Changing the world one sequin at a time,
ED

"Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning."

Happy Valentines day everyone!!!!!

So I know that people either love Valentines Day (mainly people in relationships) or hate Valentines Day (mainly people not in relationships), but I am one of the rare few that is NOT in a relationship, yet still loves Valentines Day. I feel like Valentines Day isn't about being in relationship or being in love, it's just about Love in general. Everyone needs to remember that they are loved, if it's by a million people or one person, you are loved. And as well as being loved, you have to share love! Tell everyone today--friends, family, strangers, that you love them! This is meant to be a day of happiness....and the candy is an okay part of it too.

Speaking of the Valentines Day candy...
Today I was eating Conversation hearts and one of them said "You Nerd"...really? Since when do they put insults on conversation hearts? haha Probably when they started putting "E-mail me". Pretty soon they'll be putting like..."Sext me" or something hahaha Oh my.

Just wanted to remind all of my friends that I love you and appreciate you all so much! You are great people and you make my life complete! :) Happy Valentines Day!

Posty-post for today are two Valentines Day-Themed Postsecrets:

Spread Love,

This is a fashion face....a face full of fashion.

Okay, so I've been thinking lately about how much I really like clothes, shopping, and fashion. So I was bored tonight and decided to put together a few collages of outfits I would love to have in my wardrobe. This is what I really want to do with my life. I would like to be a fashion editor or something of that nature. Fashion is my THANG. Although sometimes I'm a little out there, I think that I choose reasonable things (plus they are all things that are less than $50, maybe even $25!!!). Well, I will leave you with my quote-unquote "Look Book". Enjoy. (Postscript, this is the posty-post). (Post-postscript, you can click on the pics to make them bigger if you're really that interested haha).

The Situation.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Okay, I will explain that. So today I was just driving over to Drugtown to pick up some groceries, and then, all of a sudden, DISASTER HIT. Out of the corner of my eye I see a small, furry thing running out into the street and then I tried to veer...oh my, it was terrible. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the furry object moving, so I figured it was okay. On my way back I drove the same way...and it was still there. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I killed an innocent raccoon. :( This is eating me up inside. This has never happened to me and I am just falling apart. RIP Raccoon, I am so sorry.

Okay, so I'm going to try to get my mind off of that. I am watching "Jersey Shore: Before the Shore" and it is ridiculous. How do you become a crappy reunion/extra shows host? This girl sucks so bad-- "We'll see how the situation became the situation before he was the situation"....excuse me. I want to know the credentials for this job. Do you have to have little to no brain cells (enuf 2 read da Q-cardz of cors!), and be obsessed with the shows? Check. Well, I'm half way there. Oh, you also have to have a really crappy name.

My lips are chapped. I know that I have appx. 5 tubes of Chapstick, I'm just not sure where any of them are. I swear there is a land of lost bobbypins, hairties, and chapstick. Maybe even socks. But really...where do they all go? I have to buy new ones every once in a while and I always wonder why. Maybe I'll write a book about this magic land. Or maybe not.

Negative nancy-ing it up,
E-dizzle

Postscript:
I forgot about the posty-post because of my whirlwind emotions. Instead of a posty-post today, I would like to posty-post a question. And you should posty-post an answer. The question is:
"If you could be the host of any trash TV show, which show would it be?"

Fuggz

Okay, so can I just walk my blogger fans through my life right now? My night was CRABSOLUTELY ridic.

So, around 7:30, I'm like "Hey, I need some boots because tomorrow I'm going to be walking through the snow". So I decide to venture off on a quest to find boots (not like hiking boots, but fake uggs aka fuggs).

First stop, K*Mart. I get there and guess what? NOTHING. No boots of any type. I actually found a pair of mocassins there, and since I've been looking for those, I decided to purchase. I go up to the one line that is open, and OF COURSE, my shoes don't have a tag on them. Why would they have a tag? I am unlucky. So the woman checking me out tries to punch in some made up numbers (like she knows what she's doing) and then eventually mumbles "Well, I guess I'm going to have to call these back." Okay, then just do it. So she walks over and it's all just taking forever. Meanwhile, a giant line is forming behind me and everyone's looking at me like I'M the beeyotch. Don't blame me for stupid, rude employees. Whatever, I'm over K-Mart.

Second, I decided to go to Target (although I thought it may be too expensive). Strike two-nothing. Really? Okay, but luckily they are STOCKED FULL of flip flops and sandals. You know since it's so warm out. I guess I should have been buying boots last spring.

Next, I went to TJ Maxx and then Kohls. Funny, because the exact same thing happened to me at both stores. There was ONE pair of boots that I would have bought, but for some reason one of the boots was missing....really. The one pair of boots in my size and the second boot is missing? What is my life?

Then, I went to Gordmans. As I was walking in, over the loudspeaker I hear "Please bring your final purchases to the front and we will assist you." Awesome, so now I have to sprint to the back of the store. To no prevail. No boots, just flippy floppys.

Lastly, I go to the almost reliable Walms. The only boots I find are SLIPPERS! FREAKING SLIPPERS!!!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT SLIPPER BOOTS?!?!?! Could someone please explain this?

So after 2 hours of searching, I walk away with no boots and cold feet. But on the positive side the Grammys are on on Sunday.

With fiery passion,
E-durrt
