Yeast, Water, and Juice

It's Christmas Eve and I am sitting here watching Pawn Stars, which turns out to be a good show. And if you're wondering what the title of this post is, it is ingredients in making wine. The yeast turns the water and juice into alcohol. Who would have thought? I want to try this sometime, but I will probably epically fail. Oh well.

I hope that everyone enjoys their Christmas and that Santa brings you everything that your heart desires. I didn't ask for anything from Santa, so hopefully he actually comes and brings me something that I subconsciously want.

I feel like putting together Legos and making something extremely intricate. Maybe Santa will bring me Legos.

The song of the moment is "Joseph's Lullaby" by Mercy Me. It's very Christmas-y.

Okay, well since it is Christmas Eve, I will leave you all with a shorter post today. But don't even THINK that I was about to forget

THE POSTY-POST!!!!!!! wooooooooooo!

Here is a recipe for Peanut Brittle. I want to make it, but the only ingredient I don't have is Peanuts. So I'm considering every other alternative possible. But if you have Peanuts (and all other ingredients), then you should enjoy this.

Double your pleasure, Double your built-in Chaps.

A-Hey there blogger people.

So, it is Christmas Eve-Eve and I still have to get a couple presents together. I'm really good at procrastinating, even with something fun like buying Christmas presents. Oh well, as always, I will get them done at the last minute and hopefully the people on the receiving end will enjoy the gifts.

Today, I met with some high school friends at one of our favorite restaurants. It's called Tings and it is DELICIOUS. I went outside my comfort zone and ordered the Sesame chicken, versus the Chicken with Broccoli that I usually indulge in. Spicin' it up, right? Yeah, I'm pretty wild. Anyways, it was fantastic, as always. Then I went to David's house and met his precious baby sister!!! Squee, she is so cute.

EPIPHANY!!!!!! I decided last night that I want to go to Grad school. I decided that as much as I like Music Education, I think that I would like Music Therapy even more. Seeing music heal people is just such a powerful concept, and I can't wait for that to be a part of my life. Plus I will be a really sophisticated Grad Student, and it may even give me a chance to get out of Iowa for a bit (gasp!).

Also, I forgot to do a song for the last post, so this song of the moment is good enough to cover both days: Annie by Dave Barnes. Do what you wish with that info.

Also, since I didn't do a post yesterday, I decided to double your fun with a....wait for it.....

DOUBLE POSTY-POST!!!!!

The first posty-post for today is a website. It is called "Stumble Upon". It's really fun because it asks about your interests and then it finds really cool websites for you to look at. ***WARNING*** This is a time-suck, but it's fun, so do it over winter break and get it out of your system.

Second Posty-Post of the day is one of my favorite Postsecrets:

The weather outside is weather

Okay, so I'm just gonna say it.....

SNOW SUCKS. I'm sure that if you live anywhere where you have to deal with snow, you would have to agree with me. Like it's pretty and all, but mainly it's just a hassle. The bads outweigh the goods in my opinion. What do you think?

Secondly, it is my dear friend Kelly's 21st birthday today. How exciting is that? I'm so excited that I'm going to count down the days until my 21st birthday starting now. The count is: 196 days til my 21st. Wow, we're really getting close. NOT. Speaking of my birthday, my friends and I have decided that we are going to Vegas this summer to celebrate all of us being 21. How cliche are we? I don't even care.

So tonight, we were deep conv-ing and reminiscing on the year 2009. I don't know about you, but 2009 wasn't really the best year. I think it was okay, but it was just a mediocre year. I feel like 2010 is so even and stable, it's just going to be great. Just because of the numbers (2010). It cannot be bad, because it is 2010.

I'm getting excited for Christmas, yet still haven't purchased any of my Christmas gifts. I am a slacker this year, Santa will probably bring me lumps of coal. Now thinking back, I remember one year I got a rock wrapped in tin foil....not even a lousy lump of a coal. Actually, I think that might have been on Halloween...but it's still a bad gift at any holiday.

Christmastime is Meah.

There's only 5 days til Christmas. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I've done none of my Christmas shopping yet, luckily. Five days is ample time to find presents. To shop for Christmas presents, you also need money. Which is something that I currently don't have. So I'm set for Christmas. HA!

I had a blueberry Dunkin' Donut today. It made me just really want a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese from Panera. I am still really wanting that. If Panera delivered, I would love life. There's so many places that would make so much more money by delivering their food. Like Hy-Vee Chinese? Yes, please. I also heard that there's some places where McDonalds delivers. That's pretty much just a heart attack on wheels. Good for America.

What should I do today? There are so many not-options. I could sit here and visit all of the previously talked about cliche college websites. I could do some crafts. I could unpack my car. I could cook something. Yum, I'm hungry. That may be the option. But what to cook? I'll have to look up some recipes. I just googled "Good recipes", that's specific. I think I'll just make Spaghettios instead.

The song of the moment is: "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" by Sara Bareilles. Purchase it or download it illegally, whichever you prefer.

Guidos

Oh My Blog. What up world? Prepare yourself for extreme boredom.

It's the official first day of Winter break! YAHOO!!! Everyone should be celebrating. In honor of the first day of break, I sat around and did nothing. I swear that I visited every cliche college website (TFLN, FML, MLIA, awkward family photos, Facebook, etc.). It was fairly entertaining.

There was a lot of good reality TV on this week. Included being the smash hit, "Jersey Shore". This week one of the "guidettes" got punched in the face. HAHA, can you believe that? On "Tough Love", the girls had a "Not really Beauty" contest, which proved that none of them have talent. Oh and that Jenna is still self-conscious. SURPRISE. I'm getting excited for the new season of television that is fast approaching: Real World--Washington D.C., Glee: Season 2, and Frank the Entertainer: A Basement Affair. Really quality viewing.

Enough about TV, on to music. Today I listened to an awesome playlist and it kind of made my day. My song of the moment is: "Beautiful Disaster" by Jon McLaughlin. That may be something that I'll try to incorporate into this blog. So when I was browsing the iTunes store, I looked down at my suggestions and there I saw the following:
1. Mitchell Musso (You may be thinking, who is that? Don't pretend like you don't know it's the not-so-funny friend of the ever so popular Hannah Montana)
2. The Jonas Brothers (self-explanatory)
3. Destiny's Child: Karaoke
This only solidifying how awesome my iTunes library is, OBVIOUSLY.

Okay, well another component to this blog is a Post-within-a-Post aka "The Posty Post". This could be a joke, a picture, anything.
Today's Posty-Post:

That's me, dressed as Leslie Hall on Halloween.

If you don't know who Leslie Hall is, here's a reference.
